Afternoon at the Children's Museum

After our haircuts, we went to the Children's Museum with my sisters and nieces. The kids had a great time. I feel like a bad mom because I haven't wanted to take the kids there in fear that they would get sick. Seeing them today and how much fun they had, I am going to have to get over that fear. It's not like the kids don't go to school and are exposed to things there.

Addison loved playing in the water. Next time I am going to have to bring a change of clothes, she was soaked!
Will and Laine had a great time playing hide and seek in the tunnels!
Addison and Will driving the fire trucks!

Thanks Laine and Anna for playing with us today we had so much fun!

Addison's First Haircut

Today Addison had her first haircut. Will had his haircut first and then Addison was ready, she climb right up in the chair. She did great, no tears what so ever! She got 5 1/2 inches cut off. Addison is no longer a little baby it was kind of sad to see her little curls get cut off. She looks so grown up now. The most important thing is that she is very happy with her new look. We stopped by and saw daddy afterwards and she had to show everyone her hair in the office.

Trick or Treat

Halloween night was a lot of fun! We went over to the Olson's for a soup supper and then we all went out trick or treating together. The kids had fun going up to the houses and would have kept going all night if we would have let them.

Addison was very proud of her little black nose!
Batman and Minnie Mouse what a cute couple!
Addison had to carry her bag the whole time, didn't want to give up all the candy!

Halloween Party

Our neighbors had a Halloween party for kids! The kids had a blast playing games and treats. Will was excited that Alex and Anna were also going to the party! The one thing he enjoyed the most was when they played a game he was with all the older boys and thought he was pretty cool!

Will as Batman, Alex as a cupcake, and Anna as Little Mermaid.

Pumpkin Patch

I am back!! With Will going to school five mornings a week, swimming lessons and gymnastics. Addison going to school two days a week and music class, I feel like our days are just flying by. Will had the H1N1 already this fall, but thankfully no one else in the family got it and it was short lived for him. Addison had some type of virus shortly after him, but that to was short lived. I hate all the stuff that is going around because I am afraid to take the kids anywhere to play in fear that they will get sick. I don't remember the kids getting sick this early last year. Hopefully this is not a sign that it is going to be a long winter full of illnesses!

On with the fun stuff. We did have a beautiful day last week when Chris was able to take off work early and we took the kids to the Pumpkin Patch! The kids had so much fun. We went through a haunted house, listened to the Monster Band, and took a hayrack ride out to look for pumpkins. Most of all we just had a great afternoon together as a family!!

Will and Addison out in the pumpkin field looking for the Big Pumpkin!
Addison found the pumpkin that she could carry all by herself!
Will had a great time going down the big slide and driving around.

We hope that everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween!

The Cowboys

It's football time!! Sunday was the Dallas Cowboys first season game and the kids were ready to cheer them on. The ones that don't know the Cowboys have been Chris's favorite team since he was a little boy. Will got his new jersey and we pulled out Will's old one for Addison to wear. She was so proud of that jersey when we put it on her. Will is starting to get more into the game and asking daddy about different things that happen in the game! One of these years I am sure I won't be able to pull the two of them off the couch when football season is in full force. Maybe even the three of them for Addison was cheering and clapping when the Cowboys scored!

Chris pointed out the player that Will has on his jersey and Will would see him play and say "Look daddy we match!"
Helmets on and ready to play some football!!

Will and Addison First Day At South Gate

Today was Will and Addison's first day at South Gate. Will is in his second year of preschool there he goes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He was excited to see all his friends from last year. He didn't even say good bye, just walked right into his room. This year he actually tells me what they did in school besides going outside to play!
Addison goes to their Children's Day Out program on Wednesdays and Fridays. She was in their infant room last year and they allowed her to go into Ms Jean's class room this year which is for 2-4 year olds. I was concerned since she will not be 2 till December and not speaking very well yet, but Chris kept telling me it will be o.k. they were the ones that allowed her in that classroom. When I dropped her off she threw a fit for about 40 seconds and was fine. When I picked her up Ms Jean told me that she did great, and better then some of her 2 1/2 year olds. I was very glad to hear that hopefully it will continue!

Addison loves her Dora backpack! She was so excited to put it on, and Will was right there helping her do it! Sometimes he can be such a great big brother!
